Dog Training
Small Group Classes:
We teach fun and effective group obedience classes in Missoula every 3-6 weeks year-round. In nice weather the classes are held outside in a park, in winter, the classes are held indoors at a local pet store. The groups are limited to 8 dogs indoors and up to 10 dogs/class outside.
The Basics class is open to puppies of at least 12 weeks of age (having had at least two sets of vaccinations) and to adult dogs of any age needing to learn the basic commands.
The class covers: Social skills, No Jump, No bite, No pull, Come, Stay, Heel, Sit, Stand, Down, Obstacles, Play-retrieving, games and Fun! 6 weeks (meeting one hour /week in the evenings) just $90!
Advanced classes - several to choose from 6 weeks for just $90! Preparation for competitive obedience or just a practical continuation of the basic skills focusing on achieving off-leash reliability.
Specialty classes occasionally available include Hunt Training, and Off-Leash Come.
Private Lessons:
Dogwerks offers private lessons in your home or at another convenient location. Scheduling is flexible and includes evenings and weekends. Private training allows family participation, can be tailored to your individual needs and is a great way to address behavior problems or aggression issues. Off-leash come training works well in a private lesson and requires only a securely fenced yard and one hour! Just $50/hour
Boarding with Training:
Boarding with Training at Dogwerks Training Kennel is a great way to get the basic commands down in a short time (1-2 weeks for on and off-leash reliability on sit, down, stay, come, heel), address socialization issues (we have a group of well adjusted dogs that are good teachers of social skills) or keep your dog learning while you're away on vacation! Specialty work for competition, tracking, hunting, personal protection or detection work is available. Just $250/week includes 7 training sessions and follow-up session with owner to transfer skills. Any time frame is possible ($35.00/day)
