“The Dogwerks Way” Trainers Course
Dogwerks will be offering an intensive 4-week course designed to equip potential trainers with the skills needed to start up successful training businesses in their home areas. The next course is scheduled for Sept 7-Oct 3 2008 with training scheduled daily from 9AM-4:30pm Monday-Friday with lunch provided and weekends off. (Some optional extracurricular weekend activities may be scheduled). A written training manual will be provided to graduates including materials to be distributed to students in future group classes. Successful graduates of the training program will receive certification as trainers in “The Dogwerks Way”.

Location
The training course will take place at the Dogwerks Training facility on 47 beautiful acres in Rock Creek, Montana. The facility offers a large indoor/outdoor boarding kennel with indoor matted training area, large fields for hunting/tracking and scent work training, a 3 acre pond with island for training and recreation, and a house with kitchen facilities for meetings and lunches. Participants in the program may bring one dog each to be boarded at Dogwerks during the course for no extra charge, but this is not a requirement.

Throughout the program, participants will be tested, asked to evaluate themselves and others, will practice teaching skills and thinking on their feet, and will be most successful if willing to step outside their comfort zone and grow as a trainer and a person. Extracurricular activities like hiking, swimming, BBQ’s etc. will be scheduled to encourage team building and to take advantage of our beautiful location.
Tuition
$3500 includes all instruction, written course materials, boarding for one dog if desired, and lunches throughout course. If accepted into the program, you will be notified within two weeks of receipt of your completed application. At this time, you will have two weeks to put down a deposit of $500 to hold your spot in the program. The balance will be due by the course start date of Sept.7, 2008. Visa/MC and cashiers checks will be accepted. Enrollment will be limited to five trainers.
Housing/Transportation
Motels are available in Missoula, MT 25 miles west of the training center. Special rates may be available for motels and car rentals if needed. Camping on site may be available. Please contact us for more info.
